Tiras Greene
Tiras Greene’s culinary career began at a very early age, inspired by his mom and dad’s love and passion for southern cuisine. At the age of 3, he started helping his dad prepare eastern NC chopped BBQ which developed into a desire to open a BBQ restaurant. Prior to starting Humble Soul, Tiras received his culinary arts degree from The Art Institute of Virginia Beach and gained significant experience working for two top ranked country clubs in North Carolina.
Humble Soul started out as a catering business in Greenville, North Carolina. In 2021, Humble Soul BBQ food truck opened in Culpeper, Virginia. During his first year of opening, chef Greene was recognized by the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce as Young Professional of the Year. Humble Soul BBQ is now bringing authentic smoked, eastern NC BBQ to the Triangle.
Chef Greene embodies the motto “Eat good, live humble”. Not only does he use his talents to create an environment to enjoy good food, but he also recognizes the importance of giving back to the community. He mentors young males and instills in them the values of discipline, authenticity, and perseverance. He founded the “Girl You Are Worth It Movement” that empowers women to recognize their worth, honor God, and fulfill their purpose in life. Tiras is married and has a 1 year old son.
